M is almost finished with his summer term at Kellogg. To celebrate we are planning on taking a little family vacation to explore Arizona. We will stay in Scottsdale and visit places like Sedona and the Grand Canyon. But before we go, we needed to purchase a baby backpack carrier. I headed to REI, our favorite outdoor store, to see what they offered. C wasn’t all that happy having people place her in all the different packs. But, she seemed to like it once she was strapped in and up on mommy’s back. I picked the one that was most comfortable for me and for C in our price range. It ended up being the REI brand pack.

Yesterday we tested it out. C absolutely loved it. We hiked for about two hours without any problems at all.

In fact, this is just how comfortable little C felt in her new seat on top of the world…

Growing up too fast

We now need this....

Because C can do this....

Outside the Walls

Our pastor is a visionary. In fact, he went from missionary to visionary. I say this because this Sunday we didn’t meet in the church as we usually do…we split up and ministered all over the geographic area which our church membership covers. M, C and I joined up with three others and did a prayer walk through our neighborhood. We started at the high school, then circled around the junior high, playground, and then through the neighborhood streets. We prayed as the Lord led while we walked past buildings, homes, friends’ houses and community gathering places. It was so wonderful to be a part of that.

After the morning service projects, prayer walks, street evangelism, etc, each geographic quadrant met up to have a picnic lunch. Our group met up at a local park to enjoy hotdogs, hamburgers, lemonade, live music and fellowship. It was a really nice way to do “Church”. Plus, the weather was unbelievably beautiful. The Lord couldn’t have given us a better day.

[E- ready to hit the streets for our prayer walk. She's bundled up in this photo, sporting a vest her grandparents V got for her. She didn't wear it for long because it was much warmer outside than I originally thought it would be. But doesn't she look sooo beautiful in it? ]
